where drawing leads to discovery

We believe architecture is defined as the art of building. In the profession, drawing has broadened due to technology and AI, making it difficult to pinpoint its meaning. Construction documents represent an instruction set, while renderings are often used to help clients visualize. At Parti West, we add to these common practices by using the act of drawings as a tool to develop design motives. Clients have goals, so we draw them out. This method supports discovery. It exemplifies the main ideas which make up each project in the studio. The act triggers imagination, enabling us to craft a visual story that encapsulates the creative energy and key concepts in our work.
