Mount Washington is notorious for being one of the most difficult jurisdictions in the city to develop property. The challenge was to create a unique way of living and design for future buyer, while threading the needle of approval with governing bodies at play. The success is found in the balance and geometry alike. With limited space, the sequence of circulation starts from the top and works its way down. The arrival and driveway unfolds as a bridge that acts as a roof above living space below. Three stories results, each with distance views focused on the corridor of landscape to the northeast Los Angeles landscape.
